We are a family of farmers with a deep respect of the land and the animals we raise on it.

Brubri has been working in  meat production since 1964 starting with Brubri founders, Bill and Joy Russell. Subsequent generations have have continued build on the Brubri legacy adopting increasingly modern and eco-friendly farming and business practices.

 

Our Expertise


The Russell family has three generations and a combined experience base of 90 years within the Broiler Poultry industry. Having worked with Baiada for 50 years of contract growing, we now have our own third generation poultry farmers seeing to the welfare and health of our chickens.

The Brubri commercial breeder enterprise is managed over both the hub property of Brubri, and breeder blocks within a 20 minute drive.

Our sizeable cross breeding program consists of good quality Charolais bulls put over Santa Gertrudis and Santa Gertrudis/Hereford cross cows, resulting in beautiful weight gain of weaners.

We are constantly keeping an eye out for suitable, motivated young people to add to our staff; we are looking for Saturday boys/girls who are school age, looking for weekend/school holiday work, might want to complete a school based Agriculture apprenticeship and can go onto a roster

Licenses are issued to producers of food to ensure production is environmentally sustainable and safe to consume.

As poultry and beef producers we take our commitment to licensing and environmental reporting very seriously. That's why we've made all our licenses and reports available to our clients to view online. We are also happy to discuss any questions you have about our production practices.
